Skyscraper Y-100 update
2025-9-27I've recently reached Y level 100 on my skyscraper project, so I wanna update y'all on what has been going on the past week.
This is the skyscraper today but our story doesn't start here...
Shortly before I made this blog a EnderIo update, which I luckily noticed when making the modlist page(phew) which re-added a bunch of stuff, like the glider, the wireless charger and its antennae and some weird seeds I'm honestly afraid to use
Since this is an alpha version of ender io I'm afraid the weird missing texture seeds might have issues
As soon as I noticed the new charger I made and upgraded one asap. It is capable of keeping my RF charged items at 100% power all around my base, with a radius of 48 block in a big cube.
For the skyscraper I went with white concrete and glass, which can all be derived from the industrial processing of bone and any stone. I already have two farms which produce bones, but I didn't have any stone farm at the time.
While I do agree with past me that it looks stupid, I wanna add that using string IS stupid. After this first floor the support structure has been made with netherrack. I'm gonna make a machine to convert powdered concrete into solid concrete so that I don't have to build support structures at all for the next floors.
The last thing for this update: Awesome cobblestone farm. It's just 6 cobble generators with 6 Refined Storage destructors, the same blocks ill use to convert concrete.
I think it looks fairly cool.
I also frequently calculate how much concrete I need but I never write it down. So I'll do it again. Since I placed the side pillars we need to remove 4 blocks from each floor. I'm currently at level 100 and i need to get to 320, so that's 220 blocks, or 55 floors (one on every 4th block, the last being the upmost ceiling). Since every floor requires 16 stacks, we can calculate I need a total of 56.320 blocks, and if we remove the corner blocks we get 56.100 and I'm at 4.500...
